Introduction

Years before Columbus and his companions arrived at the Bahamas in 1492, other people discovered America: the Native Americans; who traveled from the Asian continent to what now is Alaska, over 10,000 years ago. Of this nomadic population, about 10 million lived in the territory that would later become the United States.
This blog will present and discuss the history of the mentioned culture from the mid 19th century until modern day. Focusing on the impact the Western civilizations had on the Native American indians in the US.
